I recently acquired a new monitor that serves as a USB hub, allowing me to connect peripherals such as mice and transfer data to the computer. However, the upstream outputs of the monitor are Thunderbolt 3/USB-C, while my motherboard does not support USB-C input. I do have a C → A cable, but when I connect it, Windows informs me that the device is not recognized.

What steps can I take to make Windows acknowledge the USB-C device and enable the keyboard and mouse to function properly?
